PURPOSE:
With a passion for information technology and a broad range of experience you will join a team focused on the development and support of the group’s Infrastructure and Network stack.
Working with colleagues in the UK and across the globe, you will provide high level support, to maintain our highly available and secure computing environment. You will have a track record of hands-on fault resolution, taking the lead to resolve complex technical issues and challenges. You will take ownership for solving technical and security issues within the network layer, providing intelligent, scalable, and maintainable solutions across a diverse and dispersed enterprise grade environment.
This role will also play a key position is moving systems from local data centres to a central data centre in the USA as well as Azure.
- Maintain and manage the global VMWare / Citrix environment in Chicago.
- Implement, maintain, and manage Azure, Entra ID and 365 environments.
- Manage global Mitel and 8x8 phone systems
- Global management, maintenance and architecture of LAN/WAN, storage devices, virtualised environments, servers, and network devices.
- Maintain and further the use of appropriate cloud technology.
- Develop technical solutions and new security controls to mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Proactive systems management of cloud, host and network services.
- Work with third party vendors and service providers to ensure productive environment.
- Resolve issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Project management; from project inception to production release.
- Maintain project plans and documentation for all system builds and modifications.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends.
- Excellent working knowledge of Citrix DAAS
- Extensive experience of VMWare environments.
- Support and management of Azure, Entra ID and 365 technologies.
- Aruba switches and Access Points
- Experience of managing Mitel and 8x8 phone systems
- Deployment and management of Microsoft security services and products.
- Competent network routing protocol troubleshooting skills in OSI-layers, TCP/IP, Routing, IP-SEC, NAT, SNMP and Wireless networks.
- Experience with firewalls and switch gear in an enterprise environment. Palo Alto & Meraki
- Hands on experience with network monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Rancid etc.
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field desired
- Microsoft MCSE technical qualification desired
- Organized and diligent.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior colleagues.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team.
- Motivated to deliver a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.

- Microsoft - Microsoft Azure, including implementation, management and maintenance of:
- Microsoft Office365
- Windows Desktop and Server, from Windows 10 and Server 2016 upwards
- Enterprise Active Directory environments
