Khawi River Lodge is beautifully set under leadwood and fig trees on the Khawi River. The Lodge lies where the Khawi River narrows to a stream and disappears into the sand, mourned by herds of elephant and pods of hippo. Accommodation is in fifteen twin-bedded tents, with air-conditioning for the summer heat and heating for the winter months. The exceptional location of Khwai makes it a regular host to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dogs. Birdlife can also be viewed in abundance with exceptional sightings of wildfowl and raptors near the lodge.
