Duration: 10 days

Linyanti (4nts) – Okavango Delta (3nts)

Active | Wildlife

• Riding and walking in the Okavango Delta
• Fly-camping under the stars
• Remote and peaceful

Day 1 – London/JohannesburgDepart London-Heathrow on an overnight British Airways flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2 – Johannesburg/Linyanti

On arrival connect with your flight to Maun and take a light aircraft flight to the Okavango Delta to the Linyanti area, bordering the Delta and the Chobe River. Home for the night is Selinda Camp, small and comfortable in a remote, unspoilt setting bordering the Selinda Channel and floodplain.

Days 3 to 4 - Linyanti

Three days to explore at the pace of the indigenous people, on foot, walking amongst Africa’s game, with two nights fly-camping under the stars. Skilled guides are on hand to inform and entertain through morning walks, and meals, miraculously prepared within the simplest situations. There is usually time to relax in the afternoons, though often there are things to see and do before taking refuge for the night in comfortable fly-camps with the night sounds of Africa all around.

Day 5 – Linyanti

Arrive on foot with your guides at the relaxed comforts of the remote Zibalianja Camp. This is the smallest of all Botswana’s camps with just four walk-in tents with hot showers.

Day 6 - Linyanti/Okavango Delta

Transfer to Macatoo Camp, your base for the next three nights. This camp consists of just six two-bedded walk-in tents on a large, palm-shaded island. After tea, meet your horse for your first evening ride among the infinite grassy plains, punctuated with water meadows and seasonal lagoons.

Days 7 to 8 - Okavango Delta

The daily routine will vary, according to your preferences and abilities. Well-trained horses are perfectly adapted to their environment and guests must be proficient riders before setting out once more to ride with Africa’s game. However, there’s plenty to do out of the saddle: champagne bush breakfasts, guided walking safaris, boat trips and night game-drives all add to the variety.

Day 9 – Okavango/Johannesburg

Take a light aircraft flight to Maun or Kasane, where there is the chance to extend your African experience. Drive to Victoria Falls, Africa’s mightiest waterfall, or head off to Jack’s Camp, set in the heart of the Makgadikgadi Pan, drum-flat and the largest salt pan in the world. Otherwise, fly on to Johannesburg to board an overnight flight to London.

Day 10 – Johannesburg/London

Arrive at London Heathrow.
