Day 1 - London/WindhoekBoard your British Airways overnight flight from London-Heathrow, via Johannesburg, to Windhoek.

Day 2 - Windhoek

On arrival you will be transferred to Hill Top House for one night. This lovely property benefits from stunning views of Windhoek and is a perfect place in which to relax after your journey.

Day 3 - Windhoek/Sossusvlei

This morning you will depart by light aircraft for your flight to Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp. This stunning property is located just next to the iconic dunes high on a valley’s edge and consists of just nine beautiful stone, timber and thatched chalets which benefit from their own private plunge pools and incredible views. Sossusvlei is a natural wonder - a sea of sand that is 300 kilometers long and 150 kilometers wide and is home to the world’s oldest and highest dunes (some are over 200 meters above the valley floor).

Day 4 - Sossusvlei

A full day to explore this incredible lunar wilderness. Begin by watching the sunrise on to the towering dunes where the colours change from purple to crimson and many colours in between. For the energetic there is time to climb the protected dunes such as Dead Vlei and visit the wonderful geological features of the area. Taking a night drive is recommended in order to see the elusive nocturnal desert wildlife.

Day 5 - Sossusvlei/Damaraland

After breakfast, board your flight along the Skeleton Coast, flying over the majestic Kuiseb Canyon, the adjoining red dunes and the wreck of the Eduard Bohlen at Conception Bay, embedded in a dune since 1909 and now located one kilometre from the shoreline due to the shifting sands. Land and refuel at Swakopmund before continuing your flight along the Skeleton Coast and turning inland towards the hospitable and award-winning Damaraland Camp.

Day 6 - Damaraland

A full day to explore this dramatically beautiful area. Head out on a walking safari in search of the rare desert elephant, springbok, oryx and ostrich while discovering the smaller delights along the way. Damaraland Camp is one of the finest examples of eco-tourism and integration to the benefit of the local community and are justifiably proud of their award winning projects.

Day 7 - Damaraland/Etosha National Park

This morning you fly eastward to the Ongava Game Reserve the southern borders of Etosha National Park. There is likely to be plenty of game here, clustered close around perennial waterholes. You stay at either Ongava Tented Camp or Ongava Lodge - both overlooking frequently visited water-holes. These stunning properties benefit from their own private reserve which amazingly has both black and white rhinos in residence.

Day 8 - Etosha National Park

A full day here for walks around Ongava private reserve or for game-drives in the National Park itself. Named the ‘Great White Place of Dry Water’, Etosha is an incredible park of mopane woodland and acacia-scattered savanna which protects over 114 mammal species and 340 bird species in a vast pan which covers an expanse of approximately 20,000 square kilometres.

Day 9 - Etosha National Park/London

Transfer by light aircraft from Ongava to Windhoek and board your international flight to Johannesburg for your onward connection, arriving at London-Heathrow early the following day.Caprivi ExtensionAn optional extension to this Namibian adventure is a stay in the Caprivi area of Namibia. Situated in the far north-eastern corner of Namibia, the environment is very different to that of the rest of Namibia. Lush wetlands follow the Zambezi river, our favourite camps are Impalila, Ntwala and Susuwe.Botswana ExtensionAn optional stay in the wetlands of the Okavango Delta is easy to add to your Signature Namibia safari. A charter flight will connect with a flight to Maun and the Okavango Delta. We recommend a three night stay at either Baines’, Stanley’s or Chief’s Camp.
