Pristine waters, wild and dramatic landscape, amazing wildlife and sheer emptiness are the major draw cards for visitors to Alaska. This largest state of the US is still a new destination for many British travellers and remains an undiscovered gem.
With much of the travel across the state by seaplane, getting around is half the fun. For lovers of adventure, there are innumerable hikes, mountain trails, caves to explore and rivers to kayak. Abercrombie & Kent will take this huge area with all its natural beauty and design the ultimate personal experience for you.
On your journey allow for a few days in the gateway city of Seattle, an excellent jumping off spot for trips to Alaska, and a haven for coffee, music and lovers of the outdoors.
Talk to one of our experts today about our luxury and tailor made Alaska Holidays 2015, 2016.

Best time to be there
Make the most of long days and the best weather by travelling between June and September during this time the days are long (19 hours of daylight in June) and nature is in full bloom. Sadly the weather in this part of the world isn't predictable. During the summertime days can be pleasantly warm, even hot, but this can be followed in equal measure by rain, fog and then sun again.
Seattle (10 hrs) and then onto Anchorage (3 hrs 40) or Juneau (2 hrs 30)
GMT -8 hours
ESTA Visa required for UK Passport Holders
Travel insurance is highly recommended as health bills can be high in the USA.
There is honestly no area where we could suggest any improvements as everything was impeccable!
