Days 2 and 3 - Glacier Bay National Park
Over the next two days, cruise 60 miles upbay to Grand Pacific and Margerie glaciers, which frequently calve colossal icebergs into the frigid waters. Conditions permitting, weave among the freshly fallen icebergs on an inflatable raft. Spend evenings peacefully anchored in hidden coves and mornings paddling your kayak in this quiet wilderness. View an astounding variety of native species, including puffin, sea lion, mountain goat, bear, moose and eagle.
Day 4 - Chatham Strait
Set out on the ultimate day of exploration in the Chatham Strait, stretching for 150 miles in teh Tongass National Forest. This morning, join the captain on the bridge or out on deck to scour the nutrient-rich waters in search for humpback whales, porpoise, sea lion and other wildlife. Marvel at the grand scenery of the Alaskan wilderness as our crew expertly guides us through those areas 'not found in guide books'. Later this afternoon, drop the skiffs and kayaks to further explore the shoreline of a remote bay. A nosy seal could be watching your every stroke. Tonight, take a nightcap to the sun deck and watch the sky.
Day 5 - Kuiu Island
Salmon streams dot the coastline—where there’s salmon, there are bears. Kuiu Island is home to one of the world’s densest populations of black bears. Scope the intertidal zones of Saginaw Bay for them from a kayak or skiff. Eagles fish here too, their white noggins give away their perches. Kayak along the Keku Islands or take the pace down a notch checking out tide pools and abundant life in the intertidal zones. It’s remote, and remarkable.
Day 6 - Frederick Sound
Spend the day exploring in Frederick Sound and Stephens Passage, another excellent chance to view humpback whales and other marine wildlife. Pass by the Five Fingers Lighthouse and watch for playful antics at a large sea lion haulout made from dozens of rocky islets. Finsh the day cruising the picturesque bays, where evergreen forests crowd the shores.
Day 7 - Endicott Arm/Dawes Glacier
Snow covered mountains. Glacier-carved valleys. White thunder of calving ice. It’s an impressive Wilderness Area. Skiffing up Endicott Arm, harbor seals pups laze around on icebergs. If the tides are right, slip into Fords Terror. The fjord’s steep walls are streaked with waterfalls. Choked with ice, at the end of the arm, meet Dawes Glacier. Blue ice marches down from the Coast Mountains.Tonight, celebrate with a Farewell Dinner.
Day 8 - Juneau
After breakfast, you transfer to the airport before returning to Seattle (where we'd recommend you spend a few days exploring).

Best time to be there
Make the most of long days and the best weather by travelling between June and September during this time the days are long (19 hours of daylight in June) and nature is in full bloom. Sadly the weather in this part of the world isn't predictable. During the summertime days can be pleasantly warm, even hot, but this can be followed in equal measure by rain, fog and then sun again.
Seattle (10 hrs) and then onto Anchorage (3 hrs 40) or Juneau (2 hrs 30)
