Day 1 Anchorage / UK
Anchorage is the largest metropolis in Alaska, where half of the state's residents live. Upon arrival check in at the iconic Captain Cook hotel, and spend the evening relaxing or exploring the vicinity.

Day 2 Anchorage / Denali National Park
Your drive to the entrance of Denali National Park offers fantastic views of Mt. Denali and en route you'll have the chance to visit the Happy Trails Kennels, the homestead of four-time Iditarod champion Martin Buser for a private visit. After meeting Martin and his sled dogs you'll continue on to Grand Denali Lodge, where you'll spend the night.

Days 3-4 Denali National Park
Even the drive to Kantishna Roadhouse is gorgeous, traversing the entire length of the park through 148 kilometres of Alaskan scenery. Have your camera ready to capture majestic Mt. Denali and keep an eye out for wildlife viewings including bear, caribou, fox, moose, wolf, and a variety of birdlife. This is the perfect place for an 'off the grid' adventure, and you'll have plenty to keep you occupied, from hiking to mountain biking, talks with the naturalist guides and even gold panning –any gold you find is yours to keep.
Kantishna Roadhouse | Meals: Full Board and select activities

Day 5 Denali National Park / Talkeetna
Travel back to the park entrance by bus (though we recommend taking the bus plane flight for a small extra charge). A relaxing train journey will take you to Talkeetna, where you'll rest your head at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Day 6 Talkeetna / Winterlake Lodge
Arrive in style by float plane at Winterlake Lodge, located on the southern boundary of Denali National Park. One of the best lodges in Alaska, it offers seclusion and spectacular scenery, with both Trimble and Hayes Glacier, and the entrance to Rainy Pass visible from the lake. You can enjoy hiking and wildlife viewing by foot and air in your own helicopter and look out for the many species of Alaska birds, wildflowers and berries that are rarely seen in elsewhere.
Winterlake Lodge | Meals: Full Board and select activities including one helicopter experience

Day 7 Winterlake Lodge
You'll have a free day to enjoy from daily activities including narrated walks, hiking, canoeing and kayaking, watching birds and berry picking. Perhaps take a helicopter sightseeing tour or glacier trek, join the chef in the kitchen for a cooking class or indulge your senses with wine and cheese tastings, massages or soaking in the hot tub.

Day 8 Winterlake Lodge / Anchorage
Enjoy a final Alaskan breakfast before boarding a float plane from the lodge back to Anchorage, where upon arrival you will be driven to your hotel in downtown Anchorage.

Sadly the weather in this part of the world isn't predictable. During the summertime days can be pleasantly warm, even hot, but this can be followed in equal measure by rain, fog and then sun again.
