It's not every A&K traveller who puts holiday movies on YouTube. But when you've just ridden a thoroughbred around an iconic landmark, you've good reason to showboat. As sunrise ignited the desert, one of our clients circumnavigated Ayers Rock on the very camel that had won Australia's outback races the week before: a perfect symmetry of time and place. And that's just one of many treats lying in wait. Travel to Australia with Abercrombie & Kent and you step onto one of the world's ultimate experiential stages. Whether it's our exclusive insider behind-the-scenes access to Sydney Opera House, a helicopter spin around the Hunter Valley's famous vineyards or a sheep-shearing lesson on a family ranch, we've the perfect team to make it all happen.
Holidays to Australia with Abercrombie & Kent will get you closer to the people and places that make this fascinating country so special.
For two decades, A&K Australia has arranged highly creative, luxury holiday itineraries with travel consultants who have tried and tested just about every hotel and excursion down under. Small wonder it was recently awarded the country's Tour Operator of the Year crown, and that Aussies themselves use us to holiday in their own country. As they say, if it's good enough for the locals.
Whether you're travelling with family, in a small group or on your own, A&K will reveal a huge and diverse country juxtaposing modern and ancient indigenous culture. For starters its wonderful coastal cities offer the southern hemisphere's most acclaimed restaurants, loveliest cafes and best shopping, alongside cultural attractions, ground-breaking architecture and a sun-kissed ocean vibe.
Away from the urban hotspots, you'll find miles of empty beach, amazing snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef - although we strongly recommend you also dive the west coast's Ningaloo Reef - well known for its whale sharks - along with tropical forest and soft rolling hills. And you haven't even reached the Outback's vast parched landscapes, multi-coloured mountains and red centre. You can help round up cattle on massive stations, fly over the Bungle Bungles' beehive rocks or visit Tasmania's lush wilderness. It's all possible - and you don't even need a champion camel.
Best time to be there
All year round; many parts of the country are perfect, even in the middle of the year. The climate ranges from tropical (Darwin) to semi-desert (Alice Springs), humid temperate (Brisbane and Sydney), cool temperate (Melbourne and Hobart) and Mediterranean (Perth and Adelaide).

First experience with A&K. Intended to ask various travel companies for quotes but Vicky (Agnew) was so good with her suggestions that we did not seek alternative quotations the suggested itinerary was excellent and helped us decide on a balanced and interesting holiday.
