Days 1 to 2 - London/Sydney
Board your overnight flight from London Heathrow to Australia.
Day 3 - Sydney
Arrive in Sydney and check into the Four Seasons Hotel, your home for the next three nights. In the afternoon tour the city's highlights, with its relaxed atmosphere, parks, theatres and colonial architecture. Allow us to pre-book tickets for you for an evening performance at the Opera House.
Day 4 - Sydney
Two full days at leisure to explore Australia's most vibrant city. If you are feeling energetic, take the opportunity to climb one of Sydney's most iconic landmarks, the Harbour Bridge and take in 360 degree views of one of the world's greatest cities. Alternatively take a scenic flight to the Blue Mountains. Sydney is also a gourmet's paradise; choose from one of the countless restaurants offering superb cuisine in a choice of magnificent locations.
Day 5 - Sydney
A chance to unwind after two days of discovery, sample one of the treatments at the Four Seasons spa using indigenous ingredients, or relax on deck as you take a cruise around the most beautiful harbour in the world. From the ever-popular Palm Beach down to the endless stretch of beaches at Cronulla, there is plenty of choice if you wish to soak up the sun, or for those feeling more active, then learn to surf at Bondi Beach and find the hidden surfer in you.
Day 6 - Sydney/Ayers Rock
The morning is free to enjoy a last look at Sydney. This afternoon board your flight to the rugged red heart of Australia, Ayers Rock. Arrive at Longitude 131°, your accommodation for the next two nights. The 15 'safari' style luxury tents are built on the edge of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park and have uninterrupted views over Uluru.
Day 7 - Ayers Rock
Watch as the sun rises over Ayers Rock, while your guide explains the myths and legends of the indigenous people. Take a walking tour of the local bushland with your guide explaining the dynamic ecology of the desert, traditional food sources, plants used for medicinal purposes and how to track nocturnal fauna and birdlife. Longitude 131° offers you the option to have an exclusive dinner in a desert setting under a glittering canopy of stars; afterwards a resident astronomer will join you with tales of the southern night sky and its ever changing portrait.
Day 8 - Ayers Rock/Daintree
This morning, fly to Cairns and transfer to Silky Oaks in the Daintree Rainforest, your home for the next two nights. Options include trying a rainforest safari in the adjacent National Park, taking to the air in a balloon or helicopter, fishing in the sea or estuary, birdwatching from a river cruise or taking an Aboriginal guide to explore the Mossman Gorge National Park. Alternatively play golf on one of many courses or shop amongst the boutiques and arts and craft galleries of Port Douglas.
Day 9 - Daintree
The Lodge is the ideal base for exploring this lush green wilderness, take a relaxing stroll along the riverbanks, explore the local area by bike or paddle a canoe on the Mossman River. After whichever activity you choose, a visit to The Healing Waters Spa is a must, to help you relax and rejuvenate.
Day 10 - Daintree/Lizard Island
Fly over the Coral Sea to Lizard Island; one of Australia's most exclusive resorts, set right in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef with sumptuous rooms and fine food.
Days 11 to 12 - Lizard Island
Two full days to relax and enjoy the fine sands and clear waters of Lizard Island. Visit the reef, go game fishing or have a private picnic for two, the choices are endless. Lizard Island can arrange sensational diving, come face to face with the massive, yet curious potato cod as you dive at the famous Cod Hole.
Day 13 - Lizard Island/Cairns/London
Fly from Lizard Island to Cairns where you will transfer to your onward flight to London Heathrow, via Singapore, arriving day 14 in London.
