Tower Lodge, Hunter Valley

New South Wales , Australia

NEED TO KNOW

  • Wonderfully intimate, Tower Lodge is located in the heart of Australia's famous Hunter Valley wine region
  • Robert's Restaurant represents the Hunter Valley's premier gastronomic experience
  • The spa offers a range of treatments including, our favourite, the hot stone massage
  • The hotel has a heated outdoor pool
  • Other facilities include bars, a lounge with a huge fireplace, a library, games, a gym, a winery and extensive wine cellar, and a range of activities

THE HOTEL
Tower Lodge is a small five-star luxury hotel in the Hunter Valley - intimate and exclusive, it accommodates a maximum of 24 people at any one time. Its low-rise Spanish Mission-style structure is sympathetic to the surrounding landscapes and home to attentive, exemplary service.

Radiating out from Tower Lodge's central courtyard, along portico passageways are just 10 individually decorated lodge rooms, plus the Oriental and the Chairman's Suite. All are furnished with antiques, treasures and collectables, rich fabrics and recycled old timbers. The rooms vary in size, but all feature bedroom areas, lounge space and desks. In every room there is a music system, IDD telephone, television with pay channels and DVD.

The Oriental room has polished timber floors and paneling, whilst the wall spaces feature Chinese and Oriental artwork. The Chairman's Suite is a freestanding building complete with its own tower and viewing platform. The bedroom features a 300 year old, hand carved Rajasthani king bed and opulent sitting area with a Louis writing desk and chair. The marble bathroom has a deep soaking, elevated spa bath and separate shower.
