THE HOTEL
Davidson's Arnhemland Safari Camp at Mt Borradaile is a registered aboriginal sacred site in a remote 700 sq-km, exclusively leased area nestled against the Arnhemland escarpment. This is a landscape of rugged ranges fringed by idyllic billabongs, flood plains, paper bark swamps and monsoonal rainforests - an astonishingly beautiful wilderness.
Access to the safari lodge is either by scenic flight from Darwin, by Jabiru or by 4WD during the dry season (May-October).
At the camp itself, comfortable, airy tents and cabins surround the main complex, which houses the camp dining room and lounges. The accommodation is uncompromisingly simple, yet comfortable - but the real star is the surroundings, where a range of guided tours and activities offer a unique opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of this sacred area.
All year round; many parts of the country are perfect, even in the middle of the year. The climate ranges from tropical (Darwin) to semi-desert (Alice Springs), humid temperate (Brisbane and Sydney), cool temperate (Melbourne and Hobart) and Mediterranean (Perth and Adelaide).
