Northern Territory , Australia
This sensitively designed resort is located near Watarrka National Park, the home of the incredible sandstone formation of Kings Canyon. The Kings Canyon rim walk is challenging but those who climb to the top will be rewarded with incredible views of the canyon. For the less energetic, the shady walk along the canyon floor is also worth doing. If you are staying in the Deluxe Spa rooms, our favourite, you can relax those aching muscles in the oversized spa bath. At the end of the day, why not treat yourself to the Sounds of Firelight, where a four course dinner is served around the fire and under the stars.
All year round; many parts of the country are perfect, even in the middle of the year. The climate ranges from tropical (Darwin) to semi-desert (Alice Springs), humid temperate (Brisbane and Sydney), cool temperate (Melbourne and Hobart) and Mediterranean (Perth and Adelaide).
