THE HOTEL
Set on the Great Ocean Road, directly opposite a beautiful sandy beach and surrounded by rolling countryside Chocolate Gannets' 5 star self contained Sea Villas provide luxury accommodation with spectacular views of the southern ocean and its ever changing moods and hues.
Each Villa can accommodate up to 4 guests. Clean, crisp, and beautifully decorated, the villas have double spa baths overlooking rolling waves, open fires, heating/aircon, leather sofas, fully equipped kitchens and laundry rooms. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows opening onto expansive decked areas offer stunning ocean views.
This contemporary hotel is just metres from the beach, where guests can start the day horse riding or, later, walk to Apollo Bay to explore this quaint town and its restaurants.
We loved the views at sunrise and sunset. The beach and the villa decks are the ideal spots from which to watch as the sun's rich colours reflect off the ocean.
All year round; many parts of the country are perfect, even in the middle of the year. The climate ranges from tropical (Darwin) to semi-desert (Alice Springs), humid temperate (Brisbane and Sydney), cool temperate (Melbourne and Hobart) and Mediterranean (Perth and Adelaide).
