THE HOTEL
As the name suggests, Savute Elephant Camp is known for the herds of elephants that can be spotted roaming its plains. But other large animals also gather here now for a much needed drink as the intermittent Savute Channel has started flowing through Chobe National Park once again after an absence of nearly 30 years.
Twelve recently thatched luxurious tents each have private timber decks, four poster beds, spacious en suite bathroom and dressing room area. The large private decks are furnished with easy chairs and a hammock, ideal for viewing wildlife, or for enjoying a private dinner in complete privacy. Savute is known for its exciting game viewing and excellent birdlife. A state of the art telescope is available at the main lodge for all to enjoy the African night sky. There is a private outdoor leisure area with internet access and satellite TV located discreetly away from the main lounge and dining areas.
