Weather
The best time to travel is between March and November, rain fall is at a minimum and the days are cooler but clear. Early mornings and evenings can be chilly. The Delta is normally in flood from May until August.

Created by the Tawana tribe in 1963 and named after their chief, the Moremi Game Reserve is situated to the northeast of Maun and covers some 20 percent of the Okavango Delta. Today, the reserve lies within a wildlife management area that is strictly controlled and the animals in the reserve are therefore allowed free seasonal movement. Moremi Game Reserve enjoys a wide diversity of habitats and is well known for the height of the trees in the mopane tongue, which covers the central area.
