Xugana Island Lodge
Why we like it
- One of the Okavango Delta's most spectacular permanent water sites
- Mokoro trips are the one of the best ways to enjoy this amazing part of the delta
- Walking Safaris on one of the many islands around the lodge
- Birding in the region is outstanding, particularly so from November to March, as many migrant species visit
Spend a lazy afternoon fishing for either bream or tiger fish in one of the many water ways around the lodge.
Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with A&K. There was a fascinating mix of location and camp styles and the particular sequence worked very well for us.

Just 8 large raised reed and thatch chalets make up with small lodge. Each chalet has a private viewing deck from which to enjoy the wonder views of the Okavango Delta. The lounge, bar and dining areas are open-sided thatched and are set back under the ebony and African Mangosteen tree canopy. During the heat of the day enjoy time at the swimming pool, which is located within the mature gardens in the centre of the island. Xugana Island Lodge's has a boma area for al fresco dining overlooking the Xugana Lagoon's expanse of pristine water of this unique delta.
