THE HOTEL
Named after the French Polynesian black pearl, Kiaroa Eco Resort stands in splendid isolation amongst 240,000 square metres of environmentally protected greenery - the resort is surrounded by the Atlantic Forest, one of the largest biodiversities in the planet.
Kiaroa offers a selection of 28 rooms and bungalows with sea views. All are sympathetically designed to integrate with the surrounding environment, using local natural resources.
In terms of design, they are inspired by French Polynesian and African motifs, as well as the surrounding landscapes to create a 'typically tropical' feel. Local handcrafts and thatched roofs abound, as do luxurious touches like Egyptian cotton bed linen, goose feather pillows, Natura's Ekos line amenities and fabulous outdoor spaces.
Before you visit Brazil decide what you want to see: Brazil is a continental country, with large temperature variations from north to south. Visit the Pantanal from July to December, the Amazon Jungle from March to August, Rio de Janeiro from September to May and the Northeast year round.
