Why we like it
- All rooms and suites have private outdoor spaces, some with their own pools
- Pousada Casas Brancas overlooks the bay of Buzios only two hours from Rio and is a popular weekend escape for the city's hip 'cariocas'
- The restaurant serves modern Brazilian-Mediterranean fusion cuisine
- Other facilities include a trendy beach lounge, an aerobic gym and many chic open spaces, including a wonderful veranda from which to marvel at tropical sunsets
The spa offers unique treatments such as the stimulating 'Tropical Beat' therapy, which uses coffee grains and carrots.
Thank you for upholding the A&K standard to which we have become accustomed over the years. Nothing replaces sheer competence in travel planning.

Casa Brancas is a chic Mediterranean-style pousada typical of the region. Nestled in the hills overlooking the stunning bay of Búzios, the hotel is a little slice of paradise, with Mediterranean architecture, multilingual staff and a refined, laid-back atmosphere.
The hotel's 32 cosy rooms are individually decorated and tucked away around small courtyards and terraces, nearly all offering superb ocean views. Their white-washed exterior walls, curved into organic shapes, conceal calm, homely interiors, where cool, muted décor provides a backdrop for elegant carved wooden furniture and accent colours in greens and reds. All have cooling stone floors and huge windows to let the coastal light flood in.
