Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort
Why we like it
- Situated on the banks of the legendary Ayeyawady River
- Suites have huge stone bath tubs so you can soak while enjoying river views
- Centrally located in the heart of old Bagan
- The resort's restaurant is known for it's fresh, innovative cuisine
- A short walk to the museum of Bagan's history
The Fruit Shakes served at the hotel's bar are all locally grown and in season, blended and created in front you. Papaya and Mango were our personal favourites, a nice refresher after a day exploring Bagan's mysterious temples.
We loved the way A&K presented their documentation in the travel wallet and the lux' luggage tags looked the business. The "Small touches" count! Every one likes to feel special from time to time and we certainly were made to feel as such by all at A&K.Thank you Vicky Smith

Best time to be thereMyanmar (Burma) has three clear seasons: from March to May are the very hot summer months, the wet and humid monsoon runs from May to October and the cold dry winter lasts from November to February. The best time of year to visit is late November early December when the rains have gone, the landscape is lush and green and the skies are crystal clear. However any time from late November to March is a good time to travel.
