Sanctum Inle Resort
Why we like it
- Stylish new resort in a beautiful location on the perimeter of Inle Lake.
- It brings a level of standard and sophistication unmatched anywhere else in the region.
- Bright, spacious bedrooms with natural wood floors and ultra-comfortable beds.
- Superb quality of dining, with the emphasis on local Shan specialities complemented by wider Burmese fare.
For the best view of the lake, opt for one of the villa-style Junior Suites located waterside; these are also an excellent option for families, as each unit comprises two interconnecting rooms.
We loved the way A&K presented their documentation in the travel wallet and the lux' luggage tags looked the business. The "Small touches" count! Every one likes to feel special from time to time and we certainly were made to feel as such by all at A&K.Thank you Vicky Smith
The stylish and elegant Sanctum Inle Resort opened in late 2015. Developed by the acclaimed Apple Tree Group (the team behind such prestigious properties as La Résidence in Hue, Vietnam), the 97-room hotel is the first in Inle Lake to offer a genuinely five star experience. The architecture’s unique design – its many arches and cloisters invoking a monastic way of life – contributes to the atmosphere of seclusion and quietude. Discerning travellers can enjoy spacious and highly comfortable accommodation as well as fine-quality authentic cuisine served in the Refectory, while the Sanctuary Spa offers a range of deluxe treatments for those wishing to be pampered at the end of a long day’s exploring.
Best time to be thereMyanmar (Burma) has three clear seasons: from March to May are the very hot summer months, the wet and humid monsoon runs from May to October and the cold dry winter lasts from November to February. The best time of year to visit is late November early December when the rains have gone, the landscape is lush and green and the skies are crystal clear. However any time from late November to March is a good time to travel.
