Sipping a cocktail as the sun set over the azure waters of the Bay of Bengal was simply breathtaking.
I would also like to make special mention of Thida Win - she is an absolutely wonderful guide - very kind, patient, knowledgeable and a consummate professional in undertaking her job. She made sure that everything happened seamlessly without any hitches whatsoever - she is a great advert for A&K and for Myanmar.
All the villas at Ngapali Bay Villas & Spa are unique; they feature hand-selected local paintings and antiques, high wooden ceilings, and spacious living areas and bathrooms, ensuring high levels of luxury and comfort. There are four categories of villas with the four suites and four deluxe beachfront villas including their own private pavilion creating a feeling of privacy.
Facilities at the hotel are a swimming pool with water beds and a well-stocked library with high speed internet access. The restaurant serves fresh sea food on the open terrace as well as an array of local cuisine. Ngapali Bay Villas & Spa is an individual property that has been beautifully designed with the most incredible staff awaiting your stay.
Best time to be thereMyanmar (Burma) has three clear seasons: from March to May are the very hot summer months, the wet and humid monsoon runs from May to October and the cold dry winter lasts from November to February. The best time of year to visit is late November early December when the rains have gone, the landscape is lush and green and the skies are crystal clear. However any time from late November to March is a good time to travel.
