Originally built in 1901 by the famed Sarkies Brothers and has been long recognized as a national landmark, The Strand Hotel in Yangon, stands for all that were wondrous and opulent in a bygone era. Restored to its former glory, the Victorian-styled Strand combines the charms of the 1920s and 1930s with lavish modern-day amenities. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel's 32 beautifully appointed suites are the essence of timeless elegance, and boast high ceilings; teakwood floors, spacious bedrooms and luxurious bathrooms. A private collection of local art pieces and antiques evokes a sense of nostalgia.

We very much appreciated the champagne to celebrate A&K's anniversary. Our guide Omar & driver Basil were both absolutely excellent throughout. Many thanks for making our trip to Jordan so enjoyable and for all the hard work that ensured our holiday ran so smoothly! ![]()

AKP's global reach and on-the-ground presence proved to be priceless assets when, in May 2008, Cyclone Nargis devastated Myanmar's Irrawaddy Delta. Our office and teams in Myanmar quickly gathered and delivered essential supplies to affected villages, raising more than $540,000 in contributions for emergency aid. The A&K Myanmar Relief Fund provides support for orphanages and other ongoing needs resulting from the tremendous devastation of Cyclone Nargis.
