Guest Testimonial

We loved the way A&K presented their documentation in the travel wallet and the lux' luggage tags looked the business. The "Small touches" count! Every one likes to feel special from time to time and we certainly were made to feel as such by all at A&K.Thank you Vicky Smith

Highly acclaimed as one of Southeast Asia's leading luxury hotels, and with a name synonymous with welcoming and intuitive service, the iconic Strand Yangon has been a city landmark since 1901. The hotel underwent a complete refurbishment in 2016, with all 31 suites redecorated in keeping with the Strand's legendary style and timeless elegance, while being upgraded with the latest air conditioning, sound and communications systems.

The restored Strand Grill features a colonial-style dining room and gourmet menu of Asian and International cuisine, while the informal Strand Café, which overlooks the bustle of Strand Road, is open throughout the day and features polished teak flooring and black lacquer ceiling fans, complemented by traditional Burmese antiques. The Spa at The Strand Yangon offers a comprehensive treatment menu, including a Traditional Myanmar Massage, Signature Strand Massage, and Bathing Ritual. The Strand Yangon is located on Strand Road in the heart of downtown Yangon, near the Yangon River and the main commercial and diplomatic districts.

Myanmar (Burma) Map

Best time to be there

Myanmar (Burma) has three clear seasons: from March to May are the very hot summer months, the wet and humid monsoon runs from May to October and the cold dry winter lasts from November to February. The best time of year to visit is late November early December when the rains have gone, the landscape is lush and green and the skies are crystal clear. However any time from late November to March is a good time to travel.
