Make the most of long days and the best weather by travelling between June and September during this time the days are long (19 hours of daylight in June) and nature is in full bloom. Sadly the weather in this part of the world isn't predictable. During the summertime days can be pleasantly warm, even hot, but this can be followed in equal measure by rain, fog and then sun again.

16th July - Depart Vancouver aboard Silversea's Silver Shadow
Set sail from Vancouver's magical harbour on your luxury cruise aboard the Silver Shadow in your suite with personal butler.

17th July - Cruise the Inside Passage
The famed Inside Passage is a much anticipated adventure. The sea life here is abundant. Look out for humpback whales spouting, seals, bears, sea otters and bald eagles buzzing overhead.

18th July - Ketchikan, Alaska
Known for its colourful totem poles, rainy skies, steep streets, and lush island setting, Ketchikan is a favourite stop for travellers on this cruise.

19th July - Juneau, Alaska
Juneau, Alaska's capital and third largest city, is on the North American mainland but cannot be reached by road. Its dramatic hillside position and historic buildings provide an unusual frontier feeling, but the city's cosmopolitan nature comes through its fine museums and noteworthy restaurants.

20th July - Skagway, Alaska
This seaport sits on a deep-water fjord, the Taiya Inlet, at the head of Lynn Canal, which stretches 90 miles from Juneau between banks that seem untouched by human hands. Spend the day exploring the wilderness.

21st July - Sitka, Alaska
Only the smallest excursion vessels can dock at Sitka. This small town is sandwiched between high mountains and the Pacific Ocean. It's hard not to like Sitka, with its eclectic blend of native, Russian, and American history and its dramatic and beautiful setting.

22nd July - Cruising Tracyarm/Sawyer Glacier
Squeezed between glacier-carved walls nearly 3000 feet high, Tracyarm Fjord is spectacular. Literally hundreds of waterfalls cascade down the sides of the fjord. Giant sections of ice break off and tumble into the freezing waters.

23rd July - Prince Rupert

25th July - Victoria, British Columbia

26th July - Vancouver
Today you'll sail into the stunning harbour of Vancouver and disembark in this wonderful and vibrant city, where you'll be met by your private guide. Enjoy the stunning skyline and bustling harbour. Your guide will introduce you to the 'different faces' of Vancouver during your half-day city tour.

You're hotel is one of the tallest buildings in Canada - the luxurious Shangri La Vancouver - and is just a 2 minute walk from Robson Street with all its shopping and restaurants.

27th July - Depart Vancouver aboard The Rocky Mountaineer
In the morning your private transfer will whisk you to the train station to board the famous Rocky Mountaineer. Your 2 day journey through the Canadian Rockies is in the exclusive Gold Leaf class providing the best in service and views on board. You will overnight in the small town of Kamloops.

28th July - Travel aboard The Rocky Mountaineer to Banff
The train continues through the mountains. Upon arriving in Banff you'll be met by your driver and transferred to the Fairmont Banff Springs which serves as your base to explore this wonderful region.

29th July - Banff
After breakfast you will meet your guide for a private half-day Banff sightseeing tour which will include a ride on the Banff Gondola.

30th July - Lake Louise
Today you'll spend a full day private tour exploring the stunning Lake Louise area with your guide in a luxury SUV. You'll also have the chance to explore the local ice fields.

31st July - Banff
There's the chance today to spend some time independently exploring the city, doing some shopping for gifts or relaxing at the hotel.

1st August - Transfer to Calgary and flight home
After breakfast your private SUV will transfer you on the two hour journey from the Fairmont Banff Springs to Calgary Airport for your flight home.
