Day 1 - London/Vancouver
Depart London for your flight to Vancouver. Upon arrival in the evening you will be met and transferred to the Shangri La Hotel.
Day 2 - Vancouver/Tweedsmuir
Fly from Vancouver to Bella Coola where you will be transferred to the remote Tweedsmuir Park Lodge. From the deck of the main lodge, grizzlies can often be seen.
Day 3 - Helicopter flightseeing
Drift down the Atnarko and Bella Coola rivers. During the summer, the rivers a full with spawning salmon, attracting bears and eagles. In the afternoon take to the air on a scenic helicopter flight over the peaks of the Coast Range.
Day 4 - Grizzly bear watching
British Columbia is home to up to 14,000 grizzly bears. Today will be focused on seeing these magnificent creatures.
Day 5 - Native Cultures
The Bella Coola area is home to a group of First Nations people, the Nuxalk. On a visit to the village you will be introduced to the Nuxalk culture through local storytellers.
Day 6 - Tweedsmuir Park
Take a hike through the Bella Coola Valley, where you may be fortunate to see eagles and bears fishing for salmon.
Day 7 - Tweedsmuir Park / Vancouver
The morning will be at leisure before transferring to the flight back to Vancouver where you will spend the night at the Shangri La.
Day 8 - Vancouver / London
Depart Vancouver on your international flight to London, arriving the next day. Extensions in Vancouver and the rest of Canada can be arranged.
