Day 2 Calgary / Banff
Your hire car awaits you – we suggest an early start to appreciate the scenery in the morning light. Drive from Calgary to Banff on either the Trans-Canada Highway or the more scenic 1A Highway. Day 3 Banff
Why not use todays free time to visit Banff's landmarks and historic places, learning how the 11,000 year old human history of the Bow Valley changed when three railway workers rediscovered the Cave & Basin, now a National Historic Site – enjoy the sights, take photos, and enjoy short walks to viewing points.

Take a stop at Johnston Canyon and walk along the paved footpath to either the lower or upper waterfalls before continuing to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Drive along the Icefields Parkway to the spine of the Canadian Rockies, a never-ending procession of mammoth mountains, jagged peaks, over 100 glaciers and pristine emerald coloured lakes. Along the way glaciers and lakes provide a stunning backdrop, before arriving at the Columbia Icefield to jump on the Ice Explorer to visit the glacier. As you depart, keep your camera close to hand to capture the majesty of the Athabasca Falls prior to your arrival in Jasper at The Fairmont Jasper Park Hotel.
