Canada’s Arctic is one of the last unspoiled places on earth. The youngest territory of Canada, Nunavut was settled nearly four thousand years ago by native pre-inuit cultures. The “Nunavummiut” are the inhabitants of Nunavut. Vast expanses of pristine wilderness, virgin landscapes and adventure await. This is the land where polar bears roam the ice pack, belugas swim the ocean and muskoxen graze the tundra. Northern lights settle on the evening skies and a 24-hour sun glows throughout the summer. Comprising most of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, Nunavut is the size of Western Europe. It is the least populated of all Canada’s provinces and territories, with a total of 2,093,190 square kilometres and a population of 33,330 people! With one person for every 65 square kilometres - this natural space of Nunavut is unlike no other destination.
