Canada; 7 Nights

Our Arctic adventures are the definitive polar bear experience. Our trips separate you from the crowds with exclusive access to remote wilderness lodges and to the highest populations of wild polar bears anywhere. Not to mention thousands of beluga whales, half a million caribou and countless moose and wolves, truly an Arctic Serengeti.

On this trip you are at ground level with the polar bears. On foot, by boat or from your room, you will see these amazing creatures up close. You will have the chance to enjoy snorkelling encounters with 100s if not thousands of belugas. The experience is surely life changing and just not possible to duplicate anywhere on earth. For discriminating adventurers seeking a wilder experience, we couldn't recommend this once in a lifetime sensation more highly.

Air Canada offer flights into Winnipeg, which would recommend for a short stay exploring. From there take a flight to Churchill and transfer to the delightful Aurora Inn. The real adventure begins as you take off from Churchill by seaplane from Landing Lake on an amazing journey along the Hudson Bay coast leaving the crowds behind.

The Seal River Heritage Lodge will be your home for the next 6 nights. It has a spectacular location where the southern climate meets a vast cold ocean and forms the perfect "hot" spot for polar bears. From here you can watch a great variety of wildlife. The location is part of what makes this the most unique polar bear, beluga whale and Northern lights viewing adventure in Canada.

The lodge is a luxurious retreat from the cold outside. It has been designed specifically for wildlife viewing with gigantic panoramic windows and an observation tower. Seal River is an authentic wilderness lodge with all the comforts of home. There is a cozy communal area with fireplace for an evening wind down and a glass of wine.

Considering your location, you might expect the food to be a lowlight of any trip. Instead for many the locally inspired meals are a treat after a long day outdoors. The menu is extensive and has inspired a number of best selling cookbooks.

During your stay in the Arctic, you'll embark on both walking and boat expeditions to view the bears and whales. Against a backdrop of tundra, see polar bears during the summer as they wait for the colder months when the Bay freezes and they can return to their hunting grounds. Encountering these animals is a thrilling, unforgettable experience. Your guide will advise on the best way to maintain a safe viewing distance.

Each day there will be a trekking tour, a real adventure for nature lovers as you will have opportunities to see caribou, Arctic fox and Moose. There is also the opportunity to take a day trip in the Lodge's custom-made buggy that allows guests to cover a lot of the shorelines when looking for wildlife.

A real highlight is experiencing the sights and sounds of thousands of beluga whales congregating in the Hudson Bay, even donning a dry-suit yourself to swim with the belugas. These whales are curious and are keen to get up close and personal.

Your trip will be wildly remote and exclusively fulfilling. An unforgettable Artic safari.

Our office and teams in Myanmar quickly gathered and delivered essential supplies to affected villages, raising more than $540,000 in contributions for emergency aid. The A&K Myanmar Relief Fund provides support for orphanages and other ongoing needs resulting from the tremendous devastation of Cyclone Nargis.
