THE HOTEL
The Cliffs Preserve is an eco-luxury retreat and private preserve that comprises more than eight thousand pristine acres of millenary forests and six miles of imposing South Pacific coast.
The preserve's accommodation is set within self-contained villas, which may be taken as suites or in their entirety. All exude a relaxed, calm ambience and are impeccably finished - featuring swathes of polished wood, comfortable furniture and atmospheric lighting.
Whilst the accommodation and public areas are a delight, the real star is the surrounding landscape. The preserve is located at the intersection of two eco-systems, and is home to a unique profusion of wildlife. Activities and excursions are not to be missed - strike out in search of the spectacular puma and the diminutive pudú deer, or stand in awe at the power of the Pacific, locally home to the blue whale and Magellan penguin.
As the climate varies hugely from north to south, different places are best at different times, although spring (September to December) is universally good. Atacama can be visited year-round, central Chile enjoys a Mediterranean climate with good weather throughout. Patagonia is best for hiking in Spring or Summer.
