Day 1 - UK / Santiago
Board your overnight flight in London heading to the most southerly country in the world, with 300 volcanoes 60 national parks and 8 UNESCO world biosphere reserves.
Day 2 - Santiago
Upon arrival in Santiago, you will be transferred to your hotel. Take your time to visit and explore the delights this city has to offer. Santiago is a dizzying mix of European cultures, Andean vibes and mesmerising mountain views. Your hotel is situated so that you can explore trendy neighbourhoods, which according to the New York Times are pushing the cities ‘style revolution’, on foot. Take a day to wander the wide boulevards, gaze up at the imposing architecture and get lost in some of the best museums and galleries which South America has to offer, all at your own lazy Latin pace.

Day 3 - Santiago
Today you will be taken to see the hidden depths of South Americas most developed city. This city combining both urban and classic architecture, its atmosphere and culture is as diverse as its design. As well as its highlights you will be shown the areas that are the main stomping ground for ‘Chilenos’ and get to grips with this beautiful countries way of life.

Day 4 - Santiago / Torres del Paine
Today takes you from the bubbling metropolis to one of Chile’s greatest treasures. In good conditions the flight south to Patagonia is a truly awe-inspiring one and you see the spectacular views of the Southern ice field, glaciers, crater lakes and volcanoes lofty peaks as you descend towards Torres del Paine National Park.
You won’t notice the landscape changing much on the long but dramatic drive from the airport but will be richly rewarded as you turn off the main highway towards those infamous spikey peaks of Torres del Paine National Park, where suddenly a whole new world of fiery gorse, sculpturesque trees and roaming guanacos awaits you.

Day 5-8 - Torres del Paine
Striking out over the next 4 days from your luxurious lodge you will be rewarded by the dramatic sights of the park as you gulp in lungfuls of fresh air, under a breathtakingly big sky. The activities that are on option are endless with guides to show you the insights.
This majestic landscape is crying out to be explored on foot, horseback, mountain bike and boat. You will discover lakes, glaciers and granite peaks and big sky tracks topped by otherworldly cloud formations. After roaming this adventurer’s playground slip into the spa or snug down by a roaring fire and indulge in lip smacking local cuisine. Then wake up and do it all again.

Day 9 - Torres del Paine / Wine Country
Nothing beats the feeling of days spent in the crisp unpolluted air Patagonia is so famous for. But now you swap one spectacular destination for another, and we take the pain out of leaving the picturesque south by plonking you in the heart of the gloriously green Casablanca Valley in Chile’s verdurous wine country. Here a Mediterranean climate conjures up the perfect terroir for the crisp white wine it produces, also perfect conditions to kick back in lazy-hazy relaxation and enjoy them.
We won’t hang around but leave you in your intimate wine lodge set in oh-so-pretty gardens from where you can explore the estate on foot, horseback or simply laze by the pool after a personal wine tasting session.

Day 10 – Wine Country
The Matetic family owns the entire Valle de Rosario Estate, which has a luxurious but rustic-looking guesthouse at one end, an impressive, hi-tech wine cellar at the other. Everything in between is there for you to explore. Four lunch have four courses paired with different wines and then in the afternoon venture through the vines on horseback, mountain bike or on foot. In the evening relax with a plate of lovely Chilean produce as well as a Corralillo wine

Day 11 - Santiago / UK
After a day sauntering through the vineyards in the Casablanca valley and having one last leisurely lunch it’s time to return home. You'll return on an overnight flight – or, why not extend your adventure by heading out to the remote and mysterious Easter Island!?

Best time to be there
As the climate varies hugely from north to south, different places are best at different times, although spring (September to December) is universally good. Atacama can be visited year-round, central Chile enjoys a Mediterranean climate with good weather throughout. Patagonia is best for hiking in Spring or Summer.
