THE HOTEL
The 12-hectare Mandarin Oriental Sanya resort is a peaceful retreat alongside a 1.2 km private sandy beach. Blending perfectly with its natural surroundings, the resort nestles in a secluded sandy cove close to a stretch of coral reef teeming with marine life.
The resort's 297 rooms have expansive views over the South China Sea, evening sunsets and the resort's lush grounds. All the rooms showcase a decidedly Asian aesthetic. Natural timber floors, unique coconut-weaved headboards, richly hued textiles, and bamboo-themed furniture combine to create a warm, relaxed feel, whilst the clever native design touches add a sense of authenticity.
While there are differences in the climate according to the region in China, it is best to travel in Spring and Autumn when the weather is not too hot nor freezing cold. But we also pay attention to festival periods and special occasions.
