Arrive in Beijing, modern China's dynamic capital city, where you are met and transferred to your luxurious hotel.

Day 2: Beijing | From Atop the Great Wall
Begin in the late morning with a briefing followed by lunch at Xiao Long Pu Restaurant near the Great Wall. This afternoon, walk or ride a cable car to the top of the well-preserved Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, and enjoy the vistas of the surrounding countryside. After experiencing this largest of the New Seven Wonders of the World, return to your hotel to enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner at its Cai Yi Xuan restaurant, one of the best places in China for fine dining.

Day 3: Beijing | The Forbidden City and Tiananmen
Start the day with a tai chi class taught by a master instructor at the ancient Temple of Heaven, the single most beautiful example of classical Ming period architecture. Then, ride by pedicab through a hutong, a neighborhood of small winding alleyways. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, and then explore the imperial grandeur of the Forbidden City and take in the sweep of history in Tiananmen Square, the vast government plaza that has witnessed epic moments of confrontation and courage.

Day 4: Xian | Tang Dynasty Treasures
Fly by private charter to ancient Xian, where you begin your visit with lunch at a local restaurant. Then, see the old city quarter with its teeming markets and 14th-century Great Mosque; a blend of classic Chinese temple architecture and central Asian embellishments make it one of the most fascinating sites in Xian. Finish your day with dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5: Xian | Close Up with the Terra Cotta Warriors
Today, accompanied by an on-site archaeologist, visit the excavation site of the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, the life-size army created to protect China's first emperor in his afterlife. More than 8,000 soldiers stand at attention, each bearing a unique face, testifying to the remarkable craftsmanship that went into their creation. This evening, visit and cycle Xian's well-preserved City Wall.

Day 6: Shanghai | Yangling Museum Visit
After a visit to the Yangling Museum, board your charter aircraft for a flight to Shanghai, before settling into your luxurious hotel. Enjoy dinner at a favored local restaurant.

Day 7: Shanghai | Lovely Yu Garden & Thrilling Acrobats
Set off on a guided walking tour of the Bund - a famous waterfront area in central Shanghai. Visit the 16th-century Yu Garden, with its picturesque pavilions and streams, and stroll in Old Town. After lunch, explore the French Concession Area, popular for its cafés, tree-lined avenues and tudor houses. Tonight, attend a performance by the Shanghai Acrobatics Troupe, which thrills with feats of strength and extraordinary athleticism.

Day 8: Shanghai | Traditional Water Village

Day 9: Guilin | Wondrous Reed Flute Cave
Board your private charter flight to Guilin. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting a tea plantation and picturesque Reed Flute Cave, a natural wonder carved out of a karst limestone mountain over millions of years. This evening, enjoy some cultural entertainment and dinner.

Day 10: Guilin | The Li River by Bamboo Raft
Discover a major tributary of the Li River that flows through beautiful limestone-dotted scenery. Next, embark on a leisurely bamboo raft ride to observe the quiet, rural life along the river. Watch as the locals ply the river, transiting between homes, markets and picturesque rice paddies. Later, fly by private plane to Hong Kong, China's glittering gateway of international trade and finance. Ascend to the top of the Peninsula for a Scenic Sundowner, enjoying a cool drink while taking in stunning vistas of Hong Kong.

Day 11: Hong Kong | Victoria Peak & Floating Villages
Depart for Sheung Wan, one of the earliest British settlements. Stroll through an herbal medicine market, and stop at Man Mo Temple on Hollywood Road for an informative look at a typical Chinese temple. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city, Victoria Harbour and Lamma Island from atop Victoria Peak. Continue to Aberdeen for a leisurely sampan (wooden boat) ride through the floating villages of the Tanka community, observing the ebb and flow of everyday life. After lunch at a dim sum restaurant, enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Tonight, gather with fellow guests for a cocktail and farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 12: Depart Hong Kong
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and depart.
