NEED TO KNOW

  • Hotel Punta Islita is set along the jungle covered Nicoya Peninsula of Guanacaste Province, one of the country's richest cultural regions
  • Fresh, local ingredients inform the hotel's dining options, where tropical flavours are served with Costa Rican flair
  • The excellent Casa Spa is set in lush tropical gardens and offers a generous selection of nature-inspired treatments for men, women, and the entire family
  • An infinity-edge pool sits at the pinnacle of the hotel's tiered layout and is surrounded by a sun deck with shaded lounge areas
  • Other facilities include a fitness centre, a beach club (with a large swimming pool, landscaped gardens, easy beach access, a children's playground, a casual restaurant and a swim up bar), complimentary shuttle services via golf cart, a nine hole golf course and tennis courts
  • Activities range from canopy zip-lining, excursions and water sports to jewellery-making with local artists

THE HOTEL
Standing in harmony with its neighbouring communities, Hotel Punta Islita is a premium beachfront getaway redolent with the charm, culture, and bewildering natural biodiversity of Costa Rica and the Guanacaste province. Stylish yet relaxed and packed with facilities, it is perfect for family vacations, romantic getaways, honeymoons, and relaxation escapes.

The property's tiered layout ensures excellent ocean and cove views from all guestrooms, which are set in secluded 'cabin style' buildings.  Accommodation choices range from spacious deluxe rooms and suites, to casitas and villas with private pools.  All are beautifully put together, leaning heavily on cool, tiled floors and neutral wall colours, and enlivened by splashes of colour from freshly cut flowers, soft furnishings and mosaic tiles in the bathrooms.  Meanwhile, exposed wood detail lends an authentic, beach cabin flavour.

We recommendWe were lucky enough to visit during sea turtle nesting season (between August and December), which afforded the privileged opportunity to visit nesting grounds on nearby beaches.  It's an experience not to be missed!

Guest Testimonial

Our consultant (Annie Jensen) really was excellent designing a great itinery minimising our time waiting around for transfers and both hotels, Four Seasons Bali and Oberoi Lombok exceeded our expections.
