Kids’ club sessions are aimed at different age groups and held every morning, afternoon and evening, with activities focused around four diverse themes. These encompass activities as varied as science/technology and mindfulness to art projects and silent discos.

Day 1 Embarkation in Venice
On arrival from the UK, you will be taken to the cruise port to embark Celebrity Solstice. Be sure to get a good vantage point on deck as the ship departs because Venice is one of world’s e most beautiful cruise ports.

Day 2-3 Dubrovnik, Croatia
Known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ and with good reason, such is the beauty of this walled Croatian city, with its 12th century ramparts and ochre-roofed buildings explored though the maze of narrow marble streets and steep steps. These make up the city’s Old Town, which is filled with restaurants, cafes and tourist shops that jostle for position alongside the many stone churches, monasteries and museums. Make sure you take a walk along the ancient city walls that encircle the town and give the best views.

Day 4 At Sea
Cruising through the Adriatic towards Greece
Celebrity Solstice | Meals: Full Board

Day 5 Athens (Piraeus), Greece
The busy port of Piraeus is just a stone’s throw from Athens and its ancient glories that stand in proud testament to its rich past as the birthplace of democracy and Western Civilisation. The Greek capital’s crowning glory is the Acropolis which sits on a plateau overlooking the city, and nearby is the Acropolis Museum full of ancient treasures. Lose yourself in the winding streets of the Plaka district beneath the Acropolis, regarded as the oldest and one of the nicest of the city neighbourhoods, and buzzing with locally-owned restaurants and shops.
Celebrity Solstice | Meals: Full Board

Day 6 Mykonos, Greece
This former hippy hangout has reinvented itself as a hip hotspot that has given it a trendy cachet among visitors. Mykonos Town is all pretty whitewashed houses with sky-blue balustrades and tumbling bougainvillea blooms, which make exploring the maze of twisting alleys (originally designed to confuse pirate invaders) pure pleasure. The island’s landscape is punctuated by pretty Venetian windmills and lively beaches, though Mykonos is also the ideal jumping-off spot to explore nearby Delos.
Celebrity Solstice | Meals: Full Board

Day 7 Santorini, Greece
Dramatic cliffs and an achingly beautiful rugged landscape have given this volcanic isle an almost mythological beauty. This is enhanced by the stark white-washed Cycladic houses clinging to the cliff-tops with their bright blue domes reflecting the deep azure hue of the surrounding Aegean Sea. We will anchor off the main island and the capital Fira, which sits atop the cliff and is reached by donkey, cable car or a flight of 600 steps, if you’re feeling energetic! Here you will find the famous symbol of Santorini – the Agíou Miná church with its distinctive cerulean-domed bell tower.
Celebrity Solstice | Meals: Full Board

Day 8 Katakolon, Greece
The small Peloponnese seaside town of Katakolon is mainly famous as the port for one of Greece’s most historic sites, Ancient Olympia. After a short drive into the countryside, there is a real sense of following in the footsteps of history as you make your way through the surrounding ruins of temples and sports facilities that were built for the first Olympic Games in 776BC. Located in a lush green valley, the stadium was the largest of its kind, seating at least 45,000 spectators, and the stone start and finish lines can still be seen.

Day 9 At Sea
Cruising northwards through the Adriatic

Best time to be there

The mainland and islands are very hot and dry in July and especially August, the preferred travel month for French, Italian and Spanish holiday makers, making conditions busy, hotel availability limited and the beaches crowded. May, June and September are infinitely more comfortable and generally less expensive.
Rhodes, with its refreshing westerly winds and moderate summer heat, makes it the ideal place to travel for a summer holiday or a short break in the spring or Autumn.
