River Boats, Barging and Yachting
Travelling by boat allows you to cruise from city to city in utter peace and quiet, not least because there's no traffic. The views from the waters are also unrivalled.
Europe caters especially well for boat travel, with its many rivers connecting some of the world's most beautiful cities. One such journey takes you from Amsterdam to Budapest along the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers, stopping in numerous cities along the way including Cologne, Heidelberg, Nuremberg, Salzburg, Vienna and Slovakia. Once off-shore, our A&K European experts are on hand to show you the sights of the cities as well as insider access opportunities unique to guests of A&K.
A barge is one great way to explore Europe's waterways, in particularly in France with is excellent food and drink, pleasant weather and stunning countryside. All our featured barges are air-conditioned and boast wonderful sundecks and small spa pools, and each voyage includes a comprehensive programme of excursions. They are a blend of cultural, historical and general interest, which complement the time spent drifting lazily along the waterways. The food is also a major highlight, with all barges having their own Master Chef. From canal-side picnics to a four course dinner, it does not disappoint. Barges sleep no more than 13 so we recommend chartering one for the perfect family holiday.
Chartering a yacht is the ultimate in luxury cruising, allowing you to go exactly where you want when you want, spending quality time with family and friends as you go.
The small size of a privately charted yacht means they can go where larger boats cannot, meaning no queues and uninterrupted peace and quiet. The Mediterranean lends itself perfectly to yachting, as you can cruise from coast to coast exploring coves and caves, stopping off at restaurants and bars along the way. For those who want to travel further afield, the Caribbean, Indian Ocean, South Pacific, Southeast Asia and Australasia provide perfect yachting destinations - in short, if there is sea, we can most probably charter a yacht there.
Our yacht charters also come fully staffed, meaning you don't have to lift a finger (unless you want to try your hand at being a skipper of course). The highly trained staff will navigate the waters, provide food and drink and even point you in the direction of the best restaurant when on dry land.
As well as private charters, we can also arrange shared yacht itineraries, allowing you to experience the luxury of a yacht at a fraction of the cost.
