THE HOTEL
The magnificent Parque Central combines the elegance of the Art Deco style, particularly its wonderful, original façade, with modern services and facilities. The hotel is ideally located for exploration of Havana on foot - standing on Parque Central, within walking distance from Plaza de la Catedral, the Capitolio building, Gran Teatro de La Habana and Havana Harbour.

The hotel offers 200 or so contemporary rooms, decorated in classic style - with dark woods, muted décor and sumptuous heavy curtains.  This hotel is renowned for excellent, attentive service, which can be lacking in some other centrally located hotels.

The real highlight, however, is the rooftop pool and bar which is a real suntrap (shade is provided) but also a relaxed space with a cosmopolitan feel.

The bar, La Floridita, once one of Ernest Hemingway's favourite Havana haunts, is around the corner.  It may be a little bit touristy these days, but we think it's still a must see.  The daiquiris are excellent and it's well worth a visit just to soak up the place's literary history, which hangs in the air, as well as on the walls!
