Tanzania
SPECTACULAR VIEWS: Sunrise in Serengeti National Park
Tanzania offers great diversity for the visitor. Perhaps the most magnificent park in Africa is the Serengeti with its vast herds of animals.
Tarangire National Park consists of open woodland, plains, swamps and rivers attracting plenty of wildlife including a diverse bird population. Less than ten square miles in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a true Garden of Eden. Highland forest covers the 2,000ft sheer sides of the caldera, a spectacular barrier encircling the plains wildlife that roams the flat crater floor. Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain on the African continent whilst the Selous and Ruaha offer vast untamed wilderness areas.
The Migration
Starting around April each year, huge heards of wildebeest move through the Serengeti National Park in search of greener pastures. Herds of up to two million can be seen, and behind them zebras, antelope and of course predators. Accommodation at this time is extremely popular, therefore we strongly recommend that you book early.
