THE HOTEL
Located a short walk from the famous Parque Calderon square, Mansión Alcázar Hotel is an ideal base from which to explore this vibrant area of Cuenca, with its museums and churches. Exploration further afield is also a must. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the city of Cuenca has everything you could want - beauty, nature, and a vibrant life.
The hotel's elegant, republic style architectural is instantly recognisable, with its intricately worked stone façade and wrought iron detailing. Inside, this sumptuously restored turn of the century mansion retains swathes of original features, every detail recreating the sophistication of early 20th century living.
The rooms are beautifully presented. Dark, highly polished woods, classical furnishing and elegant antiques softened by fine objects d´art and fresh bouquet of flowers. Overall, they have a wonderful, old colonial feel.
