Eric, Letty & Flamingo

The Galapagos Islands , Ecuador & Galapagos Islands

NEED TO KNOW

  • The Eric, Letty and Flamingo are three first class 'sister' motor yachts, custom designed to provide an intimate cruise experience
  • Each can accommodate up to 20 guests in cosy, air-conditioned cabins and pride themselves on a guide to guest ration to 10 to one
  • Delicious, healthy meals are served three times daily
  • All offer plenty of space in which to soak up the atmosphere of the Galápagos, including libraries, sun decks and briefing rooms

THE HOTEL
Built in 1991 and refurbished annually, these superior first-class sister yachts accommodate no more than 20 guests.  All feature three decks of spacious staterooms with polished teak interiors trimmed with shiny brass fittings.

They provide an intimate, exclusive cruising experience.  Guests can explore in peace and enjoy a fresh perspective on the area's sea life, for instance using the see-through kayaks available on each yacht and taking part in group expeditions to observe the area's outstanding natural beauty and native wildlife close up.

The yachts' seven-night cruises depart on Sundays.

Eco credentials
All three yachts are dedicated to preserving the ecological integrity of the islands, having held SmartVoyager certification since 2000, and complying with the environmental regulations developed by the Corporacion y Desarollo from Ecuador and The Rainforest Alliance.

Indeed, the family company that owns and runs the vessels became the first Carbon Neutral operation in the Galápagos Islands in 2006 and also partnered with the World Wildlife Fund to create the Galápagos Marine Biodiversity Fund supporting environmental education and marine conservation.  In addition, Eric was fitted with 40 solar panels and two wind generators in October 2008, making it the first Hybrid vessel in the Galápagos Islands.
