Fly from London to Quito, the second highest capital in the world at 10,000 feet, surrounded by beautiful mountains.

Day 2 - 4 Quito / Napo
This morning catch your flight to the Coca to enjoy a three night cruise. This is a journey that takes us into the endless heart of biodiversity, which extends its prism of life throughout the Amazon Basin. The best way to explore this jungle realm is by navigating down the river on a fabulous, state of the art vessel.

Day 5 Amazon / Quito
Today return to civilisation and explore the wonders that Quito has to offer.

Day 6 Quito
Ecuador's fascinating capital city is rich in history and today you can visit to the city's ornate cathedrals and Baroque architecture of the Old Town, before enjoying spectacular views of the city and surrounding mountains from the top of Panecillo Hill.

Days 7 - 9 Quito / Galapagos Islands

This morning fly to Baltra Island in the Galápagos where you'll board your Galapagos cruise. Explore these fascinating islands with a naturalist guide on hand to advise and inform you of the flora and fauna. Most expeditions with your guide are by panga or inflatable zodiac craft or by snorkelling to discover the underwater marine life.

Day 10 Galapagos / Quito

Cruise into Santa Cruz Island for your flight to Quito.

Day 11 - 13 Mashpi Rainforest
This morning you will be driven to discover one of Ecuador’s hidden wildlife gems – the Mashpi Rainforest Biodiversity Reserve. Located just two and a half hours’ drive west of historic Quito in dense cloud forest, this 1,200-hectare reserve protects a small slice of the Chocó biodiversity hotspot. You will spend the next few days admiring a staggering 500 species of bird – including some 36 endemics - estimated to inhabit this unique forest, fluttering through the canopy. Monkeys, peccaries and even puma make their homes inside the Reserve crisscrossed with waterfalls between dramatic, verdant hills. Perched at 900 m (3,116 feet) above sea level and surrounded by lower montane rainforest and cloud forest, the Lodge is surrounded by a profusion of plant species, from ferns and bromeliads to hundreds of orchid species, many newly-discovered.
