THE HOTEL
La Pinta is named after Abingdon Island in the north west of the Galápagos Archipelago, home to the famous Lonesome George giant tortoise, the last surviving individual of an otherwise extinct species, and offers unparalleled space and excellent service.

The flagship vessel amongst the operator's fleet, La Pinta distils the wish lists of captains, expedition leaders and guests. With room for 48 guests, it is one of the most comfortable and well-equipped yachts operating in the area. Spacious outdoor areas are ideal for wildlife observation, as well as sun bathing, whilst the interiors are light and airy, with huge windows to open up the views. The cabins are spacious and comfortable - many can be joined to cater for families.

Tour highlights include visits to James Island, Fernandina, Santa Cruz and the Charles Darwin Research Station. There are many opportunities to hike, swim, snorkel, bird-watch and take great close-up photographs of the flora and fauna.

La Pinta anchors off-shore at two visitor sites per day. Passengers are divided into groups of a maximum of twelve people, each with its own naturalist guide. All guides are certified and speak fluent English.

Accommodation

On board, up to 48 guests enjoy a choice of 24 ample stateroom cabins, all with large windows providing breathtaking views of the ever-changing scenery. La Pinta is well suited to group travel, with six interconnected cabins and four triple cabins offering flexible and convenient accommodation for families. La Pinta's relaxed dining room is a real highlight, offering traditional Ecuadorian delicacies alongside classic European dishes. The sun deck is a perfect spot to look out for whales, dolphins and the varied birdlife when sailing between islands. Unwind here after an active day exploring the islands, whether in the Jacuzzi or relaxing with a cocktail watching the sunset. Weather permitting enjoy alfresco dining and evening barbecues.

Guest Testimonial

The accomodation was excellent, as was the service provided by virtually every member of staff. The fast-track in-villa check in, along with the small cake, bottle of champagne and card to congratulate us on our wedding was a really lovely touch and much appreciated.
