Hyatt Regency Sharm el Sheikh
Why we like it
- Air-conditioned rooms and suites opening out onto large private balconies with Red Sea views
- The Oasis Kids' Club is open daily for 5 to 12 year olds and offers a shaded swimming pool, toy house, video room and games
- The hotel has five restaurants and bars offering Mediterranean, Thai, Pan-Oriental and International cuisine
- Facilities include the Club Olympus Fitness Centre & Spa, Racquet centre, Watersports Centre, Spa and Dive school
- We recommend the Regency Club rooms for their privacy and access to the Club House, with its secluded beach, gardens and private swimming pools
We loved the hotel's night diving trip, which offers a surprising and different experience of the region's diverse marine life - under the stars, the marine life shows off a completely different coat of vibrant colours.
Nicola Wallington has been extremely efficient and personable throughout the process. Everything has been done on the net and by telephone. And despite a 7 hour time difference between us, Nicola has called and e-mailed timelessly. So far so good.

The Hyatt Regency offers fantastic watersports, ranging from windsurfing to some of the world's finest diving. This includes a unique programme enabling children aged between 8 and 12 to experience the magic of scuba diving the Gardens Bay - one of the more secluded dive sites at the South Sinai coast.
Best time to be there
Winter (October to April) for cultural trips, although May to September is great for the Red Sea. Ramadan is a particularly exciting time to be in Egypt - it is celebrated here with more exuberance than anywhere else in the world.
