Ethiopia's Omo Valley is home to some 20 different tribes and thus an enriching and educational experience.. One of the best known of these tribes are the Mursi people who have become renowned as the woman have a clay plate interested in their lower lip. Other tribes include the Ari, the Karo and the Hamer-Bena whose traditions include body scarring and body painting. The area is also one of Ethiopia's most fertile as it falls within the Great Rift Valley which offers amazing scenery and beautiful lakes, the Nechisar Park will also offer a wide range on animals and birds. Accommodation here is relatively basic however the experiences you will have will make up for the lack of good quality accommodation.

Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with A&K. There was a fascinating mix of location and camp styles and the particular sequence worked very well for us. ![]()
