THE HOTEL
Overlooking the Place de la Concorde and at the end of the Champs-Élysées, the Hotel de Crillon offers an unrivalled location for anyone looking to take in the sights of Paris. In 1793 King Louis XVI was guillotined in the Place de la Concorde right in front of the hotel. In fact, during a single month over 1,300 people were guillotined there. If you're interested, the concierge will be delighted to show you around the square and point out the various spots of notorious history in this stunning plaza.
