THE HOTEL
Built in 1909 and named for Edward VII, the Hotel Royal is a magnificent temple to French elegance and refinement. Set on the shore of Lake Geneva amongst vast gardens at the foot of the Alps, the building itself is a sight to behold, a grand edifice adorned with the ornate work of Austrian master craftsmen.
The interior is just as impressive, with grand features such as ornate, vaulted ceilings working hand in hand with French art de vivre design. The rooms and suites are comfortable and elegant, featuring furniture designed exclusively for the Hotel Royal, marble bathrooms and views of the Alps in the background.
Sunworshippers head to the beaches from June to September. The climate is mainly temperate with the south enjoying hot summers and mild winters.
