Guyana, 10 Nights

Day 1 - London/Guyana
Depart from London, via Barbados to Georgetown. Transfer to Cara Lodge for two nights.
 
Day 2 - Georgetown
Morning tour of Georgetown including St. George's Cathedral, the Stabroek Market and the Botanical Gardens.
 
Day 3 - Georgetown/Iwokrama
Four-wheel drive transfer into the heart of Guyana and to the Iwokrama Field Station, designed to promote sustainable utilisation of tropical rainforest. Enjoy two nights at the Station. Afternoon exploring the river and rainforest.
 
Day 4 - Iwokrama
Morning boat trip before walking up to the top of Turtle Mountain affording excellent views over the rainforest. Afternoon visit to the falls and petroglyphs at Kurupukari and the Indian Village at Fair View.
 
Day 5 - Iwokrama/Annai
Early morning drive along the 'Jaguar Trail' en route to the Iwokrama Canopy Walkway. Enjoy the spectacle from the jungle canopy before continuing by road to Rock View Lodge for two nights.
 
Day 6 - Annai
Today you are free to join the vaqueros on horse back as they take cattle out to graze, hike in the foothills of the Pakaraima Mountains or visit nearby Amerindian villages.
 
Day 7 - Annai/Karanambu
Morning four-wheel drive transfer to the Rupununi River. From here transfer by boat to Karanambu Ranch, home to Diane McTurk, widely known for her work in rehabilitating orphaned, giant river otters to the wild.
 
Day 8 - Karanambu
Full day to enjoy the company of any resident otters, explore the river, bird watch or view the Victoria Amazonica water lilies.
 
Day 9 - Karanambu/Georgetown
Flight transfer back to Georgetown for two nights at Cara Lodge Hotel.
 
Day 10 - Kaieteur
Full day group excursion by small plane to the magnificent falls at Kaieteur and Orinduik. Kaieteur Falls are the largest single drop falls in the world.
 
On the return there is the option to be dropped off at one of several river resorts over looking the Essequibo RIver for a couple of days to relax.
 
Day 11 - Georgetown/London
Transfer to the airport for the overnight flight to London, via Barbados.
