Eighteen tented suites are set on raised platforms, their wide glass doors opening onto private decks overlooking the river, offering panoramic views of the wilderness beyond.
The bamboo forests, meadows and ravines of Kanha gave Rudyard Kipling inspiration for his famous novel Jungle Book. Kanha is prime tiger country but over 20 other animal species are regularly spotted, including the more unique species such as the three-striped palm squirrel, common langur, jackal, wild pig and black buck. Kanha is home to the highly endangered deer, the hardground barasingha, as well as sambar, chital and gaur. Kanha features approximately 70 tree species and is a bird watcher's paradise, with over 200 recorded bird species.

From October to March the weather is refreshingly cool with minimal rainfall in most places. India's main festivals also take place during this time, such as the Pushkar Fair in Rajasthan, the Republic Day of India and Holi, the festival of colours.
