Maya Ubud Resort & Spa
Why we like it
- Maya Ubud Resort & Spa is a haven of tranquillity located on the banks of the Petanu River, across from the historical villages of Bedlu and Pejang
- The resort offers three restaurants and one bar
- The Spa at Maya is a riverside haven of peace and tranquillity providing rejuvenating spa treatments
- Facilities at Maya Ubud are two swimming pools, tennis court, golf putting green, yoga pavilion and gym. Activities include nearby village trekking, nature excursions and mountain biking
Set high above the Petanu Rier sits the signature Restaurant Maya Sari, a perfect place for a romantic candle lit dinner for two an elegant table in a charming atmosphere for a most memorable evening.
Our consultant (Annie Jensen) really was excellent designing a great itinerary minimising our time waiting around for transfers and both hotels, Four Seasons Bali and Oberoi Lombok exceeded our exceptions.

Best time to travel
April - October
Indonesia is located very close to the Equator which means you have 12 hours of daylight daily. It is a year round destination with the western monsoon bringing the wet season from October to April providing nice, warm temperatures and rain in the afternoon, perfect for a nap, especially with a twist of sea-breeze in the coastal areas. The eastern monsoon brings the drier weather from May to September, which is generally a more popular time to visit
