With over 5000 years of history, Iran is one of the most culturally fascinating countries on earth. Full of dazzling monuments, elaborate mosques, architectural delights and world heritage sites, Iran has so much just waiting to be discovered. Whether you explore the architectural wonders in Isfahan, roam the mesmerising gardens in Shiraz or delve a little deeper into the ancient cities near Ahwaz, the best experiences are often with the people themselves. Warm and welcoming, the locals will only add to your love for this charming destination.
Best time to be there
Generally spring and autumn are the best time to visit Iran even if the weather may, on occasions, be a little uncertain with short lapses into either the cold of winter or the heat of summer. More accurately mid-April to early June, and late September to early November are the best times to travel.
