- The Amalfi Drive - a romantic journey
- Confetti coloured villas
- Home to limoncello
Day 1 - Arrive Amalfi Coast
Upon arrival at the Amalfi Coast, you will be met by a member of the A&K team and driven to the Casa Angelina Lifestyle Hotel, your home for the next four nights. Sheltered on a cliff overlooking the spectacular azure Mediterranean Sea, this property offers the luxury and comforts of a five-star hotel in a charming and artistic atmosphere.
Day 2 - Amalfi / Ravello
Today you'll meet your expert A&K guide for a half day exploration of the stunning Amalfi Coast, including Amalfi itself and Ravello. The Amalfi Drive is the most romantic drive in Italy, with the road running along the edge of rocky cliffs that plunge into the sea. The coast's largest town, Amalfi is dominated by the 10th-century Duomo fronted by a beautifully coloured 13th-century facade. Home to limoncello, your guide will show you the best places to sample the zesty nectar. The enchanting village of Ravello is said to have the best views along the coast, which can be enjoyed from the lovely Villa Rufolo.
Day 3 - Capri
Today you will leave the mainland for a full-day visit to the island of Capri. You'll be greeted in the lobby of your hotel by your guide and driven by luxury private vehicle to board the public ferry boat to the island where upon arrival you'll have a taxi at your disposal. Capri has constant sunshine and enjoys a welldeserved reputation as a Garden of Eden. The home of emperors, seat of monasteries, place of exile, and former haunt of goats and fisherman, its fortunes changed during the 19th century when European expatriates discovered its charms. You'll visit Villa St. Michele in Anacapri and enjoy a boat excursion to the iridescent Blue Grotto, and at the end of your day you'll return to your hotel on the mainland.
Day 4 - Pompeii / Vesuvius
Pompeii and Vesuvius are your locations for today. Once an opulent town, the extensive and varied ruins of Pompeii now provide us with a rich history of life at the time of the Roman Empire. There are theatres, thermal baths, shops and lavish dwellings, many of which have been incredibly well preserved. You'll enjoy a panoramic drive up to Mount Vesuvius which dominates the Neapolitan landscape at over 1,200m above sea level. The sheer size of the crater is amazing and the summit affords a wonderful panorama of the Bay of Naples.
Day 5 - Depart Amalfi Coast
Today you'll leave this coastal paradise for your onward journey.
At A&K all of our journeys are individually tailored to suit your needs and timescale. As a guide, this 5 day suggested luxury journey in Italy will cost from £1,850 per person based on two adults sharing.

Best time to be there
Coastal areas and the islands are great year round, although July and August can be very hot. The arts and opera seasons are generally at their peak outside these months. August is very much a shut down month as Italians take their annual break.
