Italy,
Florence has been a beloved city to visitors for centuries, indeed it was a 'Must Do' stop on the Grand Tours. An eternally romantic destination the city has appeal to people of all interests be it for the world class art collections, Renaissance architecture, shopping for the latest fashion trends or simply enjoying the very high quality Tuscan cuisine.
Day 1
A journey to Florence is a treat in itself as you marvel at the Italian countryside, waiting for Florence's domes and campaniles to come into view. Visit the remarkable Palazzo Vecchio before walking through the grand Piazza della Signoria. Don't be fooled by the copy of Michelangelo's David in the square, as the Galleria dell'Accademia is where the original is housed.
Day 2
After a morning at leisure, let Abercrombie & Kent help you discover the artist within you during a one on one painting lesson with a local artist, setting up canvas in the most stunning locations around the city. Maybe after working up an appetite learn the secrets of the amazing Tuscan food at a private hands-on cookery lesson at one of the city's most respected food institutes.
Day 3
Head out of the city into the inviting Tuscan countryside where we can arrange for you to meet with a wine master at the exclusive Badia a Pasagnano winery where after your time here you will certainly tell the difference between a Super Tuscan Sassicaia and a Sangiovese.
Day 4
Experience a hidden world in the centre of the city. With an English-speaking guide, explore the beauty of the Uffizi Gallery. It is said that 40% of the worlds art treasures are held in Florence, a selection of which can be seen at the Uffizi including Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Caravaggio's Bacchus. Brunelleschi's magnificent Cathedral is almost as awe inspiring as the views you get from climbing the 400 steps to the cupola! No wonder Leonardo da Vinci and Dante took so much inspiration here.
Day 5
Make the most of this fantastic special offer from the Four Seasons Florence, and enjoy your final day exploring on foot. Enter the Boboli Gardens by the Pitti Palace and walk through Florence's only central public gardens. The formality of these Tuscan gardens is hard to beat with a plethora of statues dotted throughout.
